Female Support Worker – Learning Disabilities Support

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our Bury Learning Disabilities Services. You will provide person‑centred care to adults with learning disabilities, physical needs and additional support requirements living in a supported‑living setting.

Key responsibilities

• Promote independence and confidence in social skills, relationships and community participation.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support service users in managing money and accessing community resources.
• Facilitate leisure, work‑related and social activities.
• Help develop self‑organisation, coping strategies and personal safety awareness.

Required profile

• Female applicant – gender is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
• Good understanding of learning disabilities and person‑centred practice.
• Commitment to service development and teamwork.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Ability to deliver compassionate, person‑focused support.
• Basic knowledge of health and social care standards.
