Field Account Manager – Eyewear Sales

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Field Account Manager to represent a leading eyewear brand across the North of England and Scotland. This trainee‑level position offers a blend of sales, account management and travel, perfect for a motivated individual eager to build a career in the optical sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of independent optician accounts, presenting product collections and securing orders.
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, quality‑control and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Work with the Senior Brand Manager to meet seasonal sales targets and profitability goals.
• Plan and execute efficient travel routes, covering territory between Sheffield and Scotland.
• Identify and pursue new account opportunities, providing regular sales reports and customer feedback to the head office.
• Handle returns, maintain accurate reporting and attend bi‑annual sales meetings, conferences and exhibitions, often requiring overnight stays.

Required profile

• Confident, positive individual with a passion for people and sales.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Either prior sales experience, a recent graduate, or someone eager to start a career in field account management.
• Willingness to travel extensively and manage physical tasks such as carrying sample bags up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

• Competitive basic salary (£25,000‑£30,000) plus commission and OTE of £30‑35k.
