Field Electrician – Renewables

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Field Electrician to join a fast‑growing renewable energy installer in East Anglia. You will deliver high‑quality installations of heat pumps and solar PV systems in domestic properties, ensuring customers receive a reliable and professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Install heat pumps, solar photovoltaic panels and associated electrical systems in homes across the region.
• Carry out first‑fix and second‑fix electrical work in line with current regulations.
• Test, commission and hand over completed installations, explaining system operation to homeowners.
• Interpret surveys and specifications, flagging any on‑site issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at each property.
• Complete accurate job sheets, certifications and paperwork for every installation.
• Collaborate with office, survey and technical teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 3 qualified electrician (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Proven experience installing renewable technologies – heat pumps and/or solar PV – in domestic settings.
• Based in the South East region with easy access to job sites.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage your own day.
• Professional attitude when dealing with customers.
