Field Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Field Engineer to support and assure activities across a strategic telecommunications network in Scotland. You will work closely with project engineers to deliver high‑quality installations, maintenance and assurance services for key utility suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to agreed quality, health & safety standards.
• Complete required project documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide 24 × 7 first‑line assurance and routine maintenance in line with SLA targets.
• Execute nominated RMI activities and ensure technical, test and quality plans are met.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and support project administration.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing and supporting DC chargers, PDH, SDH, Comtel and microwave radio technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Alcatel networking products.
• Full UK driving licence and a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid written and oral communication abilities.
