About the role

Join SumUp as a self‑employed Field Sales Consultant, focusing on small and medium‑size businesses in Newcastle. This commission‑driven position lets you act as a solutions consultant, promoting SumUp’s card‑reader and POS ecosystem while building your own independent business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage high‑potential SMBs within the assigned Newcastle territory.
• Conduct face‑to‑face meetings and deliver persuasive product demonstrations of SumUp’s card‑reader and POS solutions.
• Communicate the value proposition, address client objections, and tailor solutions to meet specific business needs.
• Generate leads proactively through networking, referrals and targeted outreach to maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth for SumUp.

Required profile

• Proven success in a field sales role, ideally within hospitality, retail or POS‑related sectors.
• Consistent record of surpassing sales targets and delivering strong results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of the local market and a genuine passion for supporting small businesses.
• Experience in outbound lead generation, cold calling or building lead pipelines.
