Field Service Engineer

About the role

ASC Connections Ltd, a global leader in advanced manufacturing technology, is expanding its UK technical team. The Field Service Engineer will support customers around Bristol, ensuring CNC machines operate at peak performance and delivering industry‑leading service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs and routine maintenance on CNC machines, including multi‑axis mills and lathes.
• Carry out mechanical and minor electrical repairs to ball screws, bearings, gearboxes, pumps and motors.
• Execute machine levelling, alignments, installations and on‑site commissioning.
• Order, replace and retrofit parts as required.
• Provide end‑user training and remote/on‑site customer support.

Required profile

• Confidence with mechanical or electrical breakdowns of CNC machinery.
• Experience with Siemens or FANUC control systems.
• Strong fault‑finding, diagnostics and equipment inspection skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when needed.
