Field Service Engineer (Laboratory Equipment)

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support a global manufacturer of high‑precision scientific instrumentation. The role combines on‑site work at customer locations across the UK with workshop activities, delivering preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and calibration of specialist laboratory equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on laboratory and testing equipment.
• Install, calibrate and commission electromechanical instruments at customer sites.
• Provide service support both in the workshop and in the field, covering the whole United Kingdom.

Required profile

• Electromechanical engineering background or proven experience with laboratory/testing equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays when required.

Required skills

• Electromechanical equipment maintenance.
• Installation, calibration and commissioning of laboratory instruments.
• Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
