Field Service Engineer – Vehicle Wash Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicle wash systems. The role provides full OEM training and involves travelling across Reading and surrounding areas to install, service and repair equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, routine maintenance and emergency repairs on vehicle wash systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Travel throughout Reading, Berkshire and neighbouring towns covering a defined service area.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on equipment performance.

Required profile

• Mechanical background (any discipline accepted).
• Confidence working with electrical components and hand tools.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to cover the Reading area.

Required skills

• Understanding of mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and fault‑finding techniques.
