Finance Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join a collaborative finance team supporting environmental and renewable energy projects. The role offers a chance to develop your finance career while working closely with Project Managers and Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage project financial information, ensuring strong governance and control.
• Support Project Managers and Directors with accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Monitor project performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow.
• Lead monthly work‑in‑progress (WIP) reviews and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted finance contact.
• Deliver training and support to non‑finance colleagues to improve financial understanding.
• Produce high‑quality financial and management reports.
• Provide flexible finance support to the wider business as required.

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 qualified or in the final stages of completion.
• Committed to studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Confidence to build relationships and challenge where appropriate.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including handling and analysing large data sets.
