Finance Analyst – Fixed-Term (6 months)

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position supports the Finance Shared Service Centre of a leading national charity. You will work remotely with occasional hybrid days, partnering with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Produce financial analysis and management information to aid business decisions.
• Support month‑end reporting, forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting tools.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners on financial reviews.
• Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across the finance function.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports.
• Participate in finance systems projects and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Analyst or similar analytical finance role.
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor or similar.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Process‑improvement mindset with a proactive approach.
• Knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.
