Finance Analyst – Hybrid, Reading

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join a busy team in Reading. The role supports accurate financial reporting and accounting services for a varied client portfolio, working closely with internal teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for client portfolios.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyse financial performance and comment on variances.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and financial planning.
• Prepare VAT‑related reports and support tax compliance.
• Manage service charge accounting and allocate costs accurately.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required financial information.
• Act as a primary contact for client finance queries and relationship management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and support for project work as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in client accounting.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical abilities.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Studying towards or qualified with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
