Finance Assistant – Accounts Payable (E‑commerce)

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team of an iconic English fashion brand as an Accounts Payable Assistant. Based in our London head office, you will develop accounting and reporting skills while supporting daily financial operations for our e‑commerce business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily e‑commerce financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes, including invoice processing, returns reconciliation, and revenue recognition.
• Process invoices and credit notes, obtain approvals, and record them in the system.
• Control purchasing of products and services by issuing purchase order numbers.
• Reconcile monthly supplier statements and credit‑card statements for department cards.
• Act as a primary point of contact for the Finance department.
• Provide support for travel expense claims and assist with month‑end closing activities.
• Perform ad‑hoc account administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Education in finance, business administration or accounting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong eye for numbers.
• Highly detail‑oriented, organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Independent, proactive and capable of taking initiative.
• Enthusiastic about working in the fashion and retail sector.
