Finance Assistant – Purchase Ledger (Up to £32k)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support our purchase ledger and day‑to‑day finance operations in a fast‑paced environment near Andoversford. The role offers a varied workload where no two days are the same and provides a salary of up to £32,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high‑volume sales and purchase ledger activities.
• Process expenses, payments and bank transactions, including third‑party and intercompany payment runs.
• Support multi‑currency accounting and VAT processes.
• Assist with credit control and respond to customer queries.
• Contribute to order processing and stock‑related accounting tasks.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
• AAT Level 4 qualification or at least three years’ experience in a fast‑paced accounts role.
• Strong understanding of credits and debits, with high attention to detail.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Confident communicator with good numeracy skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
