Finance Business Partner

About the role

This is a permanent Finance Business Partner position within an established charity undergoing a period of change. You will have genuine ownership of the annual budgeting process and work closely with budget holders to influence financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly management accounts process, producing insightful analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with budget holders across the organisation, challenging variances and supporting better financial decision‑making.
• Own the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
• Strengthen financial controls and reporting, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support year‑end and audit activities, with involvement proportionate to experience.
• Manage and develop an Assistant Management Accountant.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong management accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Confident business‑partnering skills with the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to engage beyond core responsibilities.
• Charity experience is beneficial but not essential.

• Salary range £55,000 – £60,000 per year.
