Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will provide trusted financial support, insight and strategic input across the organisation. You will translate complex financial information into clear advice, helping budget holders and senior stakeholders understand performance and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with heads of department, programme and project managers to support business, strategic and operational planning.
• Analyse monthly financial performance and communicate key findings, risks and opportunities to non‑finance colleagues.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and trend analysis in line with accounting standards.
• Coach budget holders and project managers to build financial confidence and accountability.
• Provide financial analysis and advice for projects, bid submissions and income‑generation activities.
• Use reporting and financial modelling to add value to decisions and improve business performance.

Required profile

• Proven finance business partnering experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong financial reporting and modelling skills with a track record of turning data into useful management insight.
• Experience preparing management information packs and clear commentary to tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to colleagues at different seniority levels.
• Proactive, flexible approach with resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
