Finance Business Partner – Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Finance Business Partner to join a global manufacturing group operating across Europe, North America and Asia. The role is based in Leeds (Hybrid working available) on a 3‑6 month fixed‑term contract with the potential for permanency, offering a competitive salary and bonus package.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and ensure timely month‑end close.
• Deliver detailed variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights.
• Support business decision‑making with financial analysis, commentary and ad‑hoc modelling.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, highlighting risks and opportunities for senior management.
• Work closely with operational teams to improve cost control and overall financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar commercially focused role.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close processes.
• Proven ability to deliver meaningful variance analysis and financial insights.
• Excellent commercial awareness and ability to influence non‑finance stakeholders.
• Confident communicator with relationship‑building skills across all business levels.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
