Finance Director

About the role

An experienced, commercially‑minded Finance Director is required to join a fast‑growing, investor‑backed SME in Orpington. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you will shape the financial strategy that underpins ambitious UK and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company’s financial strategy, planning and performance.
• Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic decisions and growth initiatives.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Drive profitability, cost control and operational efficiency.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, board reporting and statutory reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, treasury and banking relationships.
• Support investor relations, shareholder communications and corporate transactions.
• Improve financial systems, reporting capabilities and operational processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance function while promoting commercial awareness.

Required profile

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience leading a finance function within e‑commerce, entertainment or SaaS sectors.
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” work ethic.
