Finance Integration Lead

About the role

The Finance Integration Lead will own the end‑to‑end finance integration of newly acquired businesses, from due diligence through to post‑acquisition optimisation. Reporting to the finance director, you will ensure that each acquisition is smoothly transitioned onto the Group’s systems, controls and reporting framework while delivering the agreed investment case.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute 100‑day finance integration plans for each acquisition.
• Lead migration of acquired entities onto Group ERP, reporting and KPI structures.
• Participate in integration governance forums, managing risks, dependencies and decision‑making.
• Conduct site visits to assess finance operations, controls and team capability.
• Support synergy delivery by identifying profitability and cash‑flow improvement opportunities.
• Monitor performance against deal model assumptions and report variance to senior leadership.
• Establish robust financial controls, governance and banking arrangements for new entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and integrate them into Group reporting.
• Standardise KPIs and reporting metrics across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance integration for M&A transactions, preferably in a private‑equity environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, cash management and synergy tracking.
• Ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Relevant finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
