Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a multi‑million‑pound family‑run business with divisions in clothing, furniture, health and music retail, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for their Banbury site. You will lead the finance function, reporting directly to the Directors and Executive Board, and play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own management accounts, budgeting, treasury and financial reporting.
• Lead a small team handling accounts payable and credit control.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight and influence strategic decisions.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Previous line‑management experience.
• Strong background in management accounts and financial control.

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable using modern finance systems and AI‑enabled tools.
