Finance Manager

About the role

A growing international SME is seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to influence finance processes as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close and produce management accounts.
• Own balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Manage VAT, tax and other statutory finance duties.
• Handle inventory accounting and standard costing.
• Perform sales order accounting and daily financial management.
• Assist in development and optimisation of the ERP system.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Contribute to wider finance projects supporting business growth.
• Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accurate, timely financial information.

Required profile

• Previous experience as Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Accountant.
• Part‑qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Strong month‑end accounting and balance‑sheet reconciliation experience.
• Experience in a stock‑based environment, inventory accounting and standard costing (a plus).
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to work in a growing SME.
