Finance Manager

About the role

Our client in Wantage is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, ensure compliance, and drive process improvement across a multinational organisation. The role combines team leadership with strategic finance transformation, supporting senior stakeholders with actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the financial reporting team.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, balance‑sheet integrity, and robust financial controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Support optimisation of finance systems and reporting tools, including SAP and OneStream.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with international finance teams to maintain consistent reporting standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading financial reporting or accounting teams.
• Strong background in financial reporting, management accounting, and balance‑sheet reviews.
• Experience within large, complex, multi‑entity and/or multinational organisations.
• Shared Services experience preferred.
• Strong systems knowledge, including SAP, OneStream, or similar ERP/reporting platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement automation, and drive operational efficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
