Finance Manager – Management Accountant Role

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to lead the day‑to‑day finance function for a well‑established SME in Andover. You will own the production of management accounts, cash‑flow management and provide commercial insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and accompanying financial analysis.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, banking activities and cash‑flow reporting.
• Oversee the sales ledger, credit control and supplier payments.
• Support project costing, profitability analysis and forecasting.
• Administer VAT, CIS, payroll processes and HMRC submissions.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, fixed‑asset registers and stock reporting.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance and internal controls.

Required profile

• Qualified, part‑qualified or qualified‑by‑experience accountant.
• Proven experience producing full‑cycle management accounts.
• Strong understanding of cash‑flow, forecasting and financial controls.
• Comfortable working in a growing SME environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing or project‑based sectors is a plus.
