Finance Manager – Management Accounts & Team Lead

About the role
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join an SME in Hertford. The role is fully office‑based and offers a competitive salary of £40‑45k. You will lead the finance function, producing management accounts and supporting strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse management accounts, balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Develop budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
- Oversee day‑to‑day activities of the finance team.
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Required profile
- Qualified CIMA or ACCA (QBE candidates also considered).
- Ideally AAT qualified.
- Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting, management reporting and team leadership.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks (preferred).
