Finance Manager – Retail Sector

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead financial operations for a growing retail organisation based in Bristol. You will ensure accurate reporting, support strategic decisions and maintain robust financial controls across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee budgeting processes.
• Manage all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, oversee financial planning and maintain strong credit control procedures.
• Provide financial insights to inform strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with internal departments and international stakeholders to align financial goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improve financial efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified (CIMA/ACCA) – experience‑based candidates will also be considered.
• Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within an SME.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Warm, friendly demeanour with confidence under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a small‑team environment.
