Finance Officer – Hybrid role in Dover

About the role

Migrant Help is seeking a Finance Officer to join its finance team in Dover on a hybrid basis. You will provide comprehensive finance support to the Finance Team Leader and Finance Operational Manager, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Input purchase and sales ledger invoices and credit notes into Business Central (MS Dynamics), applying correct nominal codes and cost‑centre allocations.
• Record all payments and receipts in the appropriate Business Central ledgers.
• Maintain nominal ledger entries and month‑end journals as directed by the Management Accountant.
• Process monthly payroll cross‑charges and reconcile payroll control accounts.
• Support ongoing Business Central processing and perform ad‑hoc reconciliations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Business Central (MS Dynamics) or a comparable financial ERP system.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• High motivation, resilience and emotional intelligence.
• Willingness to undergo strict safeguarding vetting procedures.
