Finance Operations Manager – Multi‑Site Retail (PE‑Backed)

About the role

Altum Consulting is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to build and lead a best‑in‑class finance operations function for a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed multi‑site retail business. The role combines hands‑on process improvement with strategic finance transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UK finance operations across multiple entities, overseeing AP, AR, expenses and cash management.
• Improve processes, controls and operational efficiency throughout the procure‑to‑pay and order‑to‑cash cycles.
• Support a major ERP implementation programme and finance transformation initiatives.
• Drive cash conversion, working‑capital improvements and standardise finance processes.
• Partner with finance and operations stakeholders to shape the future‑state finance operating model.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong finance operations leadership background.
• Proven experience improving AP, AR, expense and cash‑management processes.
• Comfortable working in evolving, high‑growth environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• D365 Business Central (or similar ERP systems).
