Financial Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join a well‑established, fast‑growing organisation in Horsham. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will deliver accurate financial reporting, support business performance and help develop junior finance team members.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management information and financial analysis.
• Manage accruals, pre‑payments and journal postings.
• Support year‑end audit and statutory accounts preparation.
• Oversee treasury management and maintain bank relationships.
• Handle VAT, corporation tax and payroll oversight.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger activities.
• Support finance process improvements and projects.
• Mentor and develop junior finance colleagues.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or Passed Finalist) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience in a fast‑paced finance environment.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with confidence to communicate across the business.
• Desire to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
