Financial Accountant – Shared Service Centre

About the role

Join Bouygues UK’s Shared Service Centre as a Financial Accountant, working in a professional and friendly finance office in Haywards Heath. The role offers a hybrid working pattern to support work‑life balance and reports to the Finance Manager while supervising a Junior Assistant Financial Accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS (including IFRS 15 and 16).
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations, journal postings, and balance‑sheet revaluations.
• Reconcile P&L to management accounts and manage the monthly National Statistic Survey.
• Review postings and invoices for tax implications (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE).
• Assist with quarterly group reporting, yearly financial accounts, and audit documentation.
• Support SSC management and other account teams as required.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA (or equivalent) with solid accounting experience.
• Experience in VAT and corporate accounting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
