Financial Accounting Manager – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join a global organisation on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will lead a small finance team, own month‑end and year‑end reporting for multiple EMEA entities, and partner with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end financial reporting for several legal entities.
• Manage and develop a small finance team, providing coaching and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
• Build strong relationships with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
• Partner with audit teams to deliver successful internal and external audit processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex financial matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiencies.
• Support finance systems and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• At least five years of post‑qualified experience.
• Previous experience managing a financial accounting team.
• Experience delivering financial reporting within a large international organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK and US GAAP reporting requirements.
• Experience in a shared‑services or matrix organisation (advantageous).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive and confident in a fast‑paced environment.
