Financial Consultant

About the role

Balance is building AI‑driven back‑office finance solutions and is looking for a Financial Consultant to join its London team. You will act as the quality gate for the AI‑generated bookkeeping, manage client relationships, and help shape the product.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate the output of Balance’s bookkeeping agents, ensuring accuracy and providing feedback.
• Own the month‑end close process for a portfolio of clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing financial sanity checks.
• Translate client observations into product feedback and collaborate with engineering on new features.
• Develop and grow relationships with assigned clients, becoming their trusted finance advisor.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance experience handling balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and related reporting.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and automation, with a desire to eliminate manual busywork.
• Enjoys fast‑paced, ownership‑driven environments and working directly with clients.
• Comfortable in a startup where processes are still being defined.
• Can work from the London office at least three days a week, full‑time.
