Financial Controller – Hybrid, £65k‑£80k

About the role

Our client, a well‑established UK travel organisation, is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work closely with senior leadership, own the monthly management accounts and play a pivotal part in shaping commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of three.
• Own monthly management accounts and Board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Manage audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance.
• Oversee treasury and foreign‑currency management.
• Improve finance systems and reporting, particularly Business Central.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Drive process improvements and automation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven Financial Controller experience in the travel sector.
• Experience of tour‑operator accounting, TOMS, VAT and ABTA/CAA reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams and manage multi‑currency finance.

Required skills

• Business Central (advantageous).
