Financial Controller

About the role

Reds10 is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team. This senior role will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Deliver robust financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, accounting standards, tax and CIS requirements.
• Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end close processes.
• Manage subcontractor invoicing and provide data for CIS returns.
• Support continuous improvement of finance systems, including ERP implementation.
• Monitor financial deadlines and ensure delivery.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide insight and challenge.
• Lead, develop and manage a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven Financial Controller experience in a £50m+ turnover organisation.
• Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting and management reporting.
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised, deadline‑focused and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
