Financial Controller – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

This senior position leads the UK finance function for a fast‑growing international fashion brand. You will manage a small finance team, own month‑end close, reporting and forecasting, and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a UK finance team of three, covering AP, AR, billing, reporting and internal controls.
• Oversee month‑end close, journal entries, P&L review, cash‑flow forecasting and reconciliations.
• Prepare and present budget forecasts, management accounts and variance analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with UK financial regulations.
• Coordinate audit, tax and external advisory relationships.
• Align UK processes, reporting and controls with group‑level standards.
• Support ERP and workflow platform integrations, e.g., SAP.
• Collaborate with outsourced finance providers where applicable.
• Provide commercial and operational support to legal, people and project teams.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects such as international reporting, due diligence and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong knowledge of UK financial reporting, controls and compliance.
• Experience leading a finance team in a high‑growth environment.
• Commercially savvy with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to international operations and reporting structures is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP system).
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks such as SOX.
