Financial Controller – SaaS Business

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing SaaS company in London’s West End. Reporting to the CFO and business owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of an entrepreneurial SME backed by a larger corporate group.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day finance function and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Manage cash flow, produce regular cash flow reports and handle quarterly VAT returns.
• Support the year‑end audit by providing auditors with required information.
• Analyse operational costs, gross margins, site profitability and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare the annual budget in collaboration with the board.
• Authorise bank payments and set company‑wide authorisation limits.
• Review existing controls and implement new financial systems.

Required profile

• ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum three years of relevant finance experience, preferably in an SME environment.
• Strong, hands‑on accounting background gained in practice or within a small‑to‑medium enterprise.
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and FRS 102.

Required skills

• Netsuite (desired).
• Proficiency with IFRS reporting standards.
• Understanding of US GAAP principles.
• Familiarity with FRS 102 framework.
