Financial Controller – Senior Finance Leadership

About the role

This senior finance position sits on the senior leadership team of a fast‑growing manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller will shape financial strategy, support commercial decisions and drive operational improvements across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring robust controls and accurate reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow analysis.
• Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Oversee R&D tax credits, grant funding and relationships with external stakeholders.
• Provide financial insight and KPI reporting to operational and commercial teams.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Proven leadership experience within a finance environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced business.
