Financial Planning Analyst - Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support a well‑established manufacturing business in Bournemouth. The role is contract‑based for up to three months, reporting to the Head of Finance and focusing on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly forecasts.
• Develop rolling forecasts for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Perform detailed variance analysis against budget and prior year results.
• Partner with operational teams to improve forecasting accuracy and support working capital management.
• Produce cash flow forecasts and provide insight into business performance.
• Support long‑term financial planning, financial modelling and continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with solid FP&A experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven track record of leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Ability to build financial models and present analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Manufacturing experience is advantageous, though candidates from other complex commercial sectors will be considered.
• Analytical, proactive and able to add value quickly in an interim capacity.
