Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

This is a senior finance leadership position within a fast‑growing, complex operational business based in Surrey. You will own the financial reporting and investment accounting function, helping to strengthen controls and support strategic decision‑making during a key transformation phase.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee capital expenditure, fixed‑asset and investment‑related reporting, providing insight for strategic decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, controls and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy and governance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure a robust reporting framework.
• Contribute to finance function development by participating in key projects and broader business transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid financial reporting experience, preferably across practice and industry.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting, fixed assets and CapEx accounting.
• Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset focused on delivering high‑quality financial reporting.
