First Line Support Engineer – IT Service Desk Technician

About the role

We are looking for a First Line Support Engineer to join our technology consultancy in London. You will provide initial IT helpdesk support to a range of professional service clients, handling desktops, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents, logging, categorising and prioritising tickets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS devices.
• Support and maintain Azure AD and Active Directory accounts, including password resets and permissions.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 and other cloud applications.
• Contribute to knowledge‑base articles and service‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a service desk, MSP or similar IT support environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Motivation to develop skills in cloud and cybersecurity solutions.

Required skills

• Microsoft cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure AD).
• Active Directory administration.
• Windows operating system support.
• macOS operating system support.

What we offer

• Salary £28,000‑£34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Hybrid working model – three days in our City of London office, two days remote.
