Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Supervisor to lead our restaurant, bar and breakfast teams at the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle. You will be the face of our service, ensuring every guest receives friendly, efficient, and high‑quality hospitality while supporting profitability through sales and waste control.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee food and beverage service across the restaurant, bar and breakfast areas.
• Communicate menu and beverage offerings confidently to guests.
• Process all payment transactions (cash, card, room charge) accurately following company guidelines.
• Provide warm, welcoming service at every guest touch‑point and handle queries or complaints promptly.
• Plan daily staffing, assign duties and set performance goals for team members.
• Maintain quality standards, guest satisfaction targets and ensure safe storage of food and drinks.
• Monitor inventory, replenish stocks and minimise waste, supporting inventory procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory or team‑leader role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a professional, polite attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a large team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings and occasional early hours.

Required skills

• Experience with payment processing systems, preferably Micros.
