Food & Beverage Assistant – Healthcare Hospitality

About the role

As a Food & Beverage Assistant at Barchester Healthcare you will help create a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents, families and visitors. You will support the delivery of meals, refreshments and a clean, comfortable environment throughout the care home.

Key responsibilities

• Serve meals and refreshments to residents and guests.
• Prepare and maintain dining areas, ensuring they are clean and inviting.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food‑service duties.
• Work closely with hospitality and kitchen teams to deliver daily food and beverage services.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety in all service areas.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality, catering or customer‑service environments.
• Friendly, caring and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health‑and‑safety practices.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy setting and enjoy interacting with people.
