Food & Beverage Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Food & Beverage Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our new restaurant, The Green Room, at Mill Rythe Coastal Retreat. You will lead a busy bar and restaurant team, ensuring smooth service and memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shifts on the floor, serving customers, clearing tables and resolving issues.
• Motivate and manage a team of F&B assistants, handling rotas and performance.
• Control margins by collaborating with front‑of‑house and kitchen teams to manage stock, minimise waste and control costs.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain high standards of service.
• Promote upselling and share best practices to drive revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑paced food and beverage environment.
• Ability to lead a team confidently during busy periods.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays.

Required skills

• Experience driving revenue and upselling.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards (Level 2 preferred).
