Foot Mobile Mechanical Engineer – London

About the role

Smart Managed Solutions is seeking an experienced Foot Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a high‑profile contract across multiple London sites. The role involves maintaining environmental conditions and critical building systems, working Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical plant according to schedules and asset lists.
• Respond to reactive and breakdown tasks, including concessionary stores and fabric‑related items, and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Complete and submit paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs/SLA’s.
• Maintain strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives while upholding a professional image.
• Ensure plant rooms are locked, clean and tidy, and supervise subcontractor work on site.
• Promote safe practices by following Permit to Work, safety procedures, PPE requirements, method statements and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Formal training in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) to City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar mechanical engineering role.
