Forklift Service Engineer – Northampton

About the role

We are seeking a Forklift Service Engineer to join our After‑Sales team in Northampton. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and modifying a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment for our customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain, overhaul and fault‑find on company forklift products.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide local after‑sales support.
• Handle customer enquiries, problems and complaints efficiently.
• Manage vehicle stock and coordinate deliveries.
• Achieve agreed performance targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a forklift engineer, plant fitter, plant technician or similar role.
• Background in mechanical engineering.
• Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities; capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Full UK driving licence.
