FP&A Analyst – Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a leading manufacturing business on the Wirral. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner, driving strategic decision‑making and performance optimisation across commercial, operational and supply‑chain functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quarterly forecast, ensuring clear, traceable assumptions across commercial and operations.
• Design and maintain planning processes that support the forecast and enable scenario analysis.
• Build and update financial models for pricing, resource allocation and investment evaluation.
• Produce monthly performance reports, highlighting variance drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights to operational and commercial leaders to influence production planning, project viability and strategic initiatives.
• Support cross‑functional teams in aligning decisions with company strategy, sustainability goals and customer commitments.

Required profile

• Professional finance qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven FP&A or commercial finance experience, including modelling and forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and communicate complex financial information.
• Understanding of rolling forecasts, dynamic target setting and resource allocation is desirable.
