Fractional Finance Director / CFO – £150‑180k pro rata (part‑time)

About the role

This is a high‑profile, part‑time Finance Director/CFO position supporting a fast‑growing, founder‑led consumer business operating across the UK and Europe. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the finance function for multiple European entities and influence strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to drive commercial performance and profitability.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across all entities.
• Produce board‑level reporting, KPIs and insightful financial analysis.
• Oversee statutory accounts, audits, tax compliance and internal financial controls.
• Drive ERP and reporting system improvements.
• Manage cash‑flow and support investment decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop an established finance team.
• Build strong relationships with manufacturing, supply‑chain and operational teams throughout Europe.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience – Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Senior FP&A.
• Strong commercial finance and business‑partnering instincts.
• Experience with multi‑entity reporting and international operations.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach with ability to work strategically and operationally.
