Freelance Media Relations Consultant – Women's Wellbeing & Lifestyle Specialist

About the role

This freelance position supports a boutique communications agency in expanding its reach within women’s wellbeing and lifestyle media. You will work part‑time on multiple client briefs, crafting and executing media strategies that elevate individual profiles in glossy and lifestyle publications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop media strategies focused on women’s wellbeing and lifestyle for a range of clients.
• Identify news hooks, thought‑leadership angles and pitch opportunities to relevant glossy and lifestyle titles.
• Draft and edit press materials, briefing documents and media commentary with a wellbeing/lifestyle perspective.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and producers in the women’s wellbeing and lifestyle press.
• Advise clients on reputation and personal‑brand positioning from a wellbeing/lifestyle angle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in media relations, publicist or PR roles, especially in individual profile‑raising.
• Strong, up‑to‑date network of contacts within women’s glossy magazines and wellbeing/lifestyle outlets.
• Confident storyteller with a keen eye for news and personal‑brand positioning.
• Experience working with entrepreneurs, founders or high‑profile individuals.
• Ability to juggle multiple briefs in a fast‑paced, agile agency environment.
