Freelance Media Relations Executive – B2B FinTech

About the role

SJK Labs is seeking a freelance Media Relations Executive to support a fast‑growing B2B FinTech client in the United Kingdom. You will work closely with SJK Labs to place the client’s narratives, thought‑leadership pieces, and news across relevant media outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target appropriate journalists and publications for B2B, FinTech, finance, and technology stories.
• Adapt pitches and angles for each outlet, ensuring relevance and newsworthiness.
• Pitch stories, follow up with editors, and manage the process through to publication.
• Handle thought‑leadership bylines from 1–2 spokespeople, company news releases, and reactive commentary.

Required profile

• Proven experience in media relations, preferably within B2B, FinTech, finance, or technology sectors.
• Strong network of journalist contacts in relevant publications.
• Ability to write concise, compelling pitches and manage multiple media opportunities.
