Freelance PR Consultant – Health & Wellbeing Product Launch

About the role

We are seeking an experienced freelance PR consultant to support the launch of a new over‑the‑counter weight‑loss product in the United Kingdom. The project will culminate at a major pharmacy trade event in October, and the consultant will craft the narrative and secure media coverage ahead of the launch.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a compelling story angle for the product and write the press release and supporting editorial content.
• Create and maintain a targeted media list of UK national newspaper journalists, editors and researchers.
• Pitch the story to tier‑one media outlets and manage follow‑ups to secure coverage.
• Coordinate with the client to ensure timely delivery of materials from the initial release through the October launch.

Required profile

• Senior PR professional with a proven track record of writing press releases and editorial pieces.
• Established, current relationships with editors and journalists at UK national newspapers.
• Experience in health, wellbeing, pharma or consumer product media is a plus.
