Freight & Logistics Coordinator – Global Shipments

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate global import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Work closely with specialist carriers, port operators and freight forwarders to support shipments.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including CDS entries, bills of lading, certificates of origin and packing lists.
• Plan and book UK and international transport, optimising routes, loads and freight costs.
• Monitor shipment progress, maintain accurate records, and provide real‑time updates to internal teams.
• Carry out day‑to‑day administration, including purchase order generation, data entry and email support.

Required profile

• Experience in freight coordination, transport planning or logistics.
• Knowledge of out‑of‑gauge, break bulk or oversized cargo handling (road, sea or multimodal).
• Understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms and international trade compliance.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
