Front of House Supervisor – Pub & Restaurant

About the role

The Front of House Supervisor will be the first point of contact for guests at The Waterhead Inn, ensuring a warm and memorable experience from arrival to departure. Working closely with the Assistant Manager, you will lead the front‑of‑house team, maintain high service standards and support smooth daily operations in a busy pub and restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage reservations and oversee the dining area.
• Supervise and coach front‑of‑house staff, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve any service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely order delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness, health and safety standards throughout the front‑of‑house area.
• Assist the Assistant Manager with scheduling, stock control and opening/closing procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hospitality or pub setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Leadership mindset with a focus on team motivation and guest satisfaction.
